Quarterback Cristo Tabares leads the team's offense with passes to receivers Cj Anderson and Arthur Chee.

The NAU Lumberjacks lost their first Big Sky Conference game to the University of Montana 23-14. A connection between quarterback Case Cookus and receiver Emmanuel Butler was found in the third quarter and running back Casey Jahn provided 87 yards but it was not enough to come out with a win.

The team is coming off a 12 win season last year where they were Big Sky Conference Champions. Senior forward Haley Wingender was last years leading scorer and is off to a great start this season.
