Flagstaff experienced a 3.3 magnitude earthquake in the early morning hours of April 7. The United States Geological Survey reported that the quake didn't cause any serious damage to the area.
NAZ Today’s Nancy Flores spoke with NAU Geology professor, James Gaherty who said that the quake brings no concerns to the Flagstaff community.
Earthquakes are somewhat common in Flagstaff due to the geologic nature of the area and past volcanic activity.
