Flagstaff residents expressed concerns after Mountain Line’s proposed civic space was shot down as-is. City Manager Gref Clifton said that he believes the current plan would take away valuable parking spaces for downtown businesses and could be too much of a financial burden. However, residents said on Tuesday that this is another example of what they see as neglect to the Southside communities, given that the space would provide necessities and opportunities to the locals.

After the outcry, though, Clifton said that the city is not completely shooting down the civic space and will consider other options.
