In advance of the next storm, due in to Arizona this evening, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Flagstaff and a Winter Storm Warning for the White Mountains for tonight through tomorrow morning.
This next system is expected to be colder and wetter which should equate to more valley rain and mountain snow. Locations above 6,000 feet can expect another 7”-12” tonight in the Flagstaff area and 8”-14” in the White Mountains.
Along with heavy snowfall, strong winds will also be associated with this next system. Winds speeds should range from 15-25 mph with higher gusts.
A short break on Wednesday, should give way to sunny skies, but the third and final storm will start to impact Arizona Thursday and last through Saturday Morning. This event is expected to bring prolonged heavy snow showers to Northern Arizona. Snow accumulation will range from 1-3 feet.
