YAVAPAI COUNTY (NAZ Today) - A flood watch issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until Saturday at Noon for Yavapai and Gila County locations below 6,500 feet.
Moderate rainfall will continue throughout the day with the heaviest rainfall overnight tonight. Rain amounts will range from 3″-6″ by mid-day Friday. This is a near record amount of rain for many locations.
The following areas could see flooding conditions by late tonight…
Oak Creek at Sedona – Crest at 21.0′ (flood stage at 14.0′/record 20.3′)
Oak Creek at Cornville – Crest at 20.5′ (flood stage 9.0′/record 19.2′)
Verde River at Clarkdale – Crest at 26.8′ (flood stage 14.0′/record 26.4′)
Verde River at Camp Verde – Crest at 25.7′ (record 28.4′)
Granite Creek below Prescott Crest – Crest at 12.8′ (flood stage 11′/record 12.5′)
Agua Fria River near Black Canyon – Crest at 27′ (flood stage 16′/record 27.2′)
People living along these rivers should take immediate action now to protect property. Flooding will be similar or worse than experienced in the winter of 2004/2005.

Can you please post and or email some current pictures of the flooding of tonto creek.
Flooding is really bad 17ft high at 65000 cubic ft per sec.last night at 100 am and there are no pictures of the aftermath please I’am very concerened.

Dave and I live at the end of Lake Vista, close to where the dike broke on Tonto Creek. We lost probably an acre of property and a house to the wrath of Mother Nature. I have plenty of pictures…where shall I send them?
