TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson Police officers closed down a rowdy pool party at a west Tucson apartment complex on Saturday afternoon and arrested about 50 young people after fights broke out.

Plan Would Put Water Stations On AZ Refuge

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities are seeking comments on a proposal to put drinking water stations in southern Arizona’s Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge to prevent migrant deaths.
It’s an effort to resolve a dispute between refuge officials and humanitarian groups that have left gallon-jugs of water on trails illegal immigrant use southwest of Tucson.

Tucson-based National Guard unit to head to Kuwait

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A unit of the Arizona Army National Guard is set to leave the state Monday for its second deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sells, Ariz. Man Gets 17.5 Years in Boy’s Molestation

TUCSON (AP) – A federal judge has sentenced a Sells man to 17½ years in prison in the molestation of a 10-year-old boy.
Arthur Cornelius Jose pleaded guilty in May to one count of abusive sexual conduct in U.S. District Court in Tucson.
