Various media outlets are calling Flagstaff one of the top college towns In the United States. The American Institute for Economic Research named Flagstaff one of its top 20 college towns for 2010 in its Annual College Destinations Index.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Northern Arizona University says its police department is investigating the death of a student who was found in his dorm room early Sunday.
The student was identified as 19-year-old Todd Bentley Beauchat of Tucson.
The university says foul play is not suspected, nor is infectious disease believed to be the cause of death.

The annual NAU Golf Classic tournament will take place in Sedona on Saturday morning.
The “shamble” tournament features teams of four that will all start at different holes throughout the course but tee off at the same time. Money raised from the event will benefit NAU athletic scholarships.

FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– After initially cancelling the first two classes of the morning, as was the case Wednesday, Northern Arizona University made the decision to close the Flagstaff campus for the day Thursday.
