The Icejacks are coming off a begin 11-3 win last Saturday over San Diego St. ending the first half of their season on a good note. The Jacks struggled in the beginning of the season with a 3-8-1 record but turned it around winning eight of their last 10 games. The Jacks are expected to keep this winning streak alive when they get back on the ice Jan. 14, 2016 with a game against Weber St.

Coconino boys basketball is doing well in the start of their season. They are the favored team with their first five games at home. The Flagstaff Boys Basketball were looking to get back on track after a loss last week and did so with a 57-35 win over Westwood. The Eagles were led by Senior, Brett Morrow, who put up 14 points for the win.

The Flagstaff Girls Basketball have started their season of strong going undefeated so far. The Lady Eagles dominated over Westwood and Monique Ware dropped 21 points during the game. They will play in the Pepsi Holiday Invitational, which will feature so of the best teams in the state and will be a good test of where the team is at.

The NAU Women's Volleyball had a historic record setting season. They won 17 straight games including the Big Sky Conference Championship. The Lady Jacks went on to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 16 years and only the second time in school's history. Janae Vander Ploeg was recently named AVCA all regional first team, the first NAU player in school's history to receive this honor.
