Golf is in Nevada this week for the Big Sky Golf Championship defending the championship title from last year. A win again will be the first back to back title since the 1999-2000 season. Currently NAU is in first place after the first of three rounds at +2 with Kaitlyn Saum leading the way for the team at -1.

Track and Field had a great weekend. Futsum Zienasellassie finished first in 5000 the meter with a personal best for him it is a top time in the conference for the season and third in conference overall. he has been named Big Sky Athlete of the week. The women's 4x400 relay team broke their own record with a time of 3.41.30. The new team of Jasmine Malone, Ashley Taylor, Bria Edwards, and Nicole Fotinos currently hold the number one spot in The Big Sky Conference. The next meet is at the Fullerton Invitational on April 30.

NAU Men's Lacrosse played this weekend on Friday against Northern Colorado winning 22-12. Adam Zimmerman scored seven goals in the game. On Saturday the Jacks hosted Biola University defeating them 23-9 Zimmerman scored five goals in this game with Lars Peterson assisting with four goals. The jacks sit at number two in the division currently and are hosting a playoff game this Saturday at 1 p.m
