The Northern Arizona University Club Baseball team has embodied competitiveness of college sports. They are determined to do well this year. The Lumberjacks just started their season and are 4-6 overall.
Freshman, Michael Venable, said since he is a freshman, he didn’t know any of the other teammates but they’re a really good team and hitting really well now. Venable also said he prefers playing defense because making plays is more rewarding for him. Sophomore, Eric Friedl, said he’s been playing baseball for about 15 years and his brother is the main reason why he started.
With so much more of the season to come, they have high hopes. Venable said they won against U of A last weekend and hoping to make it to the playoffs.
