Flagstaff (NAZ Today) – Last nights power outage that effected much of the west side of Flagstaff caused last night’s basketball game between NAU and Pacific to be suspended during the second half.
The power went out at approximately 8 o’clock, with 8:52 left in the second half and the Lumerjacks leading at the Rolle Activity Center. The power was out for about 45 minutes until officials decided to suspend the game.
According to NCAA Basketball Rule book under the title Interrupted Game, “When the game is interrupted because of events beyond the control of the responsible administrative authorities, it shall be continued from the point of interruption unless the teams agree otherwise or there are applicable conference, league or association rules”.
The final decision will be determined by both the NAU and Pacific athletic directors. A decision about the status of the game has yet to be released.
