NAU’s Tiffany Amos scored 13 points and nabbed three rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Lumberjacks lost tonight against Big Sky Conference opponent Idaho State 60-62 in the Rolle Activity Center.
The Lumberjacks shot only 39 percent from the field tonight while the Bengals shot a blistering 50 percent. NAU forward Lauren Hoisington had a great night shoting 5-for-9 from the field including six rebounds and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. Idaho State’s Michelle Grohs and Jenna Brown lead the Bengals over the jacks. Grohs had 19 points including eight rebounds and four assists, and Brown had 21 points from shooting 9-for-12 from the field and six assists.
With the loss the lady Jacks extend their losing streak to four games. The longest streak this season was five loses between December 20 and January 8.
The Lumberjacks will end the regular season on March 5 against Northern Colorado in the Walkup Skydome. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:35 PM. It will also be senior night, this season NAU will lose guards Sade Cunningham, Janelle Matthews, and Katie Schafer.
