Water levels at upper Lake Mary are about to flow over. City of Flagstaff Water Services Division employee Erin Young explains the quickness of the water level rise is more surprising than the water level itself.

The water storage container was 25 percent full on Feb. 2 and increased to 70 percent 15 days later. Two weeks later the storage container was about full.

Although the water level does not rise as high every year, Flagstaff resident Art Gonzalez has seen it happen many times. For Sedona resident Jessica Depatie the water level was a surprise.
