FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– Roadwork on Interstate 40 will continue this week with a few on- and off-ramp closures.
Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction on I-40 throughout the work zone, which stretches from the Riordan railroad overpass (mile post 190) and Country Club Drive, an 11-mile stretch.
Officials say that workers will work up to 24 hours a day to complete the project by this fall. Closures may be shortened or extended due to weather and equipment availability.
This week’s closures:
6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21
- Closed: on- and off-ramps at Butler Avenue
6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 22
- Closed: on- and off-ramps and crossing over I-40 at Country Club Road
The speed limit through the work zone is 45 miles per hour.
