A man armed with a black semi-automatic weapon robbed the Super 8 motel on Kasper Drive in Flagstaff around 1:25 p.m. this afternoon.
Thomas Elementary and a nearby day care center were placed under lock-down, according to the Flagstaff Police Department.
The suspect, described as a black male, about six feet tall and with an average build, demanded and received an undetermined amount of money and is still at large, last seen running toward Lockett Ave. He was last seen wearing dark colored pants, a brown hooded sweatshirt, and a red bandanna covering his face.
