YAVAPAI COUNTY (NAZ Today)– The body of a person reported missing Monday night has been found.
Members of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team and the YCSO Forest Patrol found her body about 100 feet from where her shoes had been found Tuesday night.
Morris’ vehicle was found south of Munds Park just off of I-17 Monday night, and Coconino County Sheriff’s Officials enlisted the help of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department to look for Morris.
Late Tuesday night, searchers found her shoes. Officials say that they initially did not find her body near the shoes because it was covered in snow.
The cause of Morris’ death is under investigation. Officials are saying that exposure to the elements is “a likely factor.”
The exact location where Morris was found has not been announced.
