Two New Mexico Men Killed in Northern Arizona Rollover

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say two New Mexico men have been killed in a rollover accident near Flagstaff.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety identifies the victims as 53-year-old Chester D. Jacobson and 61-year-old Jose G. Guerra, both of Santa Fe.

DPS officials say Jacobson was driving a pickup truck with Guerra as a passenger and the men were traveling from Santa Fe to Kingman, Ariz., on Interstate 40.

Authorities say the vehicle rolled for an unknown reason around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday about six miles east of Flagstaff, landed on its roof and caught fire.

Light snow and some ice reportedly covered parts of I-40 at the time of the accident, but DPS officials say excessive speed may also have been a factor.
