FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– After opening I-40 and I-17 Southbound last night, ADOT was able to reopen Northbound I-17 this morning at the Sedona turnoff (SR 179). Both Interstates are fully open in both directions.

8:00pm update: Officials from ADOT have confirmed that I-40 has fully opened and I-17 South bound is open. A number of slide-offs are still happening around Northern Arizona. Icy spots still exist on I-40 and South bound I-17 even though the freeways have re-opened, so please be cautious and expect winter conditions if you are traveling.

Officials with the DPS and ADOT are expecting to open I-40 at 7 p.m. The South bound lanes of I-17 are also set to open at 7 p.m. the evening. I-17 North bound isn’t expected to reopen until sometime on Saturday morning.
