FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking the public’s help for information about recent wildlife poaching cases involving two elk and one mule deer.

Department officials say the poachings occurred along the Perkinsville Highway, approximately 30 miles south of Williams and just south of the Prescott National Forest boundary. The elk were estimated to have been illegally killed sometime between Dec. 14-28 and the deer shot between Dec. 25-28.

Game and Fish officials believe all three animals were shot from the roadway and the heads were later removed. They say it appears the poachers shot the animals just to collect the antlers.
