President of Arizona Board of Regents is Stepping Down

Eileen Klein, president of the Arizona Board of Regents made an announcement in a letter today saying that she is planning on taking some time off. Klein will be stepping down from the position later this year.

State legislature is considering a list minute plan bill that would eliminate the board. The plan calls for replacing the regents with a panel of elected officials as well as create local boards to oversee each of Arizona's Universities.
