Local races are far from over in Flagstaff as the third city council seat is still up for grabs. A 12 vote difference separates leading candidates Regina Salas and Paul Deasy.
Over 15,000 in-person voters showed up on election day as well as 38,000 early ballots were received. Donna Casner, Chief Deputy Recorder, says that this year’s midterm general election turnout is record breaking with over 66% compared to 2014’s total of 53%.
Although the results won’t be in for about a week, residents can view the unofficial results at coconino.az.govelectionresults.
