Northern Arizona may be in for a wet winter. The National Weather Service says there is a 38% chance of a higher than normal snowfall. Local Officials say they are already communicating with different Flagstaff groups in preparation.

Andy Bertelsen, City of Flagstaff Publics Work Department, says that they have met with several other public departments to discuss snow plowing and emergency response activities. Bertelsen also states that plans have been set in place in anticipation for large storms.

The Winter Parking Ordinance begins on November 1st. This means no overnight parking on public streets until April. Violators can face fines and possibly have their vehicles towed.
