The NAU Student Philanthropy Council hosted a blood drive this week that turned out to be very successful. Student, Anna Sovorja, lets us know that although donating might sound scary it is an easy process that takes around 30 minutes to an hour.

A few students including Kimberly Reese received an email from the Student Philanthropy Council and decided to donate in groups. Sovorja told NAZ Today that Arizona is currently facing a blood shortage and that the Student Philanthropy Council put on this event to give back and help this cause.

Some helpful donating tips include remembering to eat beforehand and everyone donating must be over 110 pounds for safety reasons.
