The Arizona State Legislature is considering a bill that would allow so-called non-lethal weapons on university campuses. NAU President Dr. Rita Cheng was asked about it this afternoon at the community forum, and she expressed her disapproval of it.

Dr. Cheng says she is working with three police chiefs to file a protest against the bill, because she feels these non-lethal weapons are too dangerous.

A few more topics the NAU President discussed were NAU's increasing enrollment, increasing retention, and grant funding research totaling $56 million.
