The NAU Associated Students for Women’s Issues (ASWI) has launched a program providing free hygiene products to NAU students.
Right now, ASWI is testing the program in the Union before expanding to other areas on campus. Helen Weathers, the president of ASWI, explains that it is important to increase accessibility of menstrual products to all people. Member Savanah Case stresses the importance of putting menstrual products in women’s restrooms, men’s restrooms, and gender-neutral restrooms because it is more inclusive of all people who menstruate.
