FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today) — A new study on hunger in America shows that close to 900,000 people in the U.S. received emergency food in 2009. Those numbers are up over 85 percent since 2006.
The Association of Arizona Food Banks says the study reinforces the struggles that many Arizonans are facing.
NAZ Today student reporter Jennifer buzzard went to St. Mary’s Food Bank for a closer look at the situation here in northern Arizona.
