FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– The Flagstaff Unified School District Governing Board has chosen a new superintendent.
The FUSD Governing Board voted unanimously to enter into contract negotiations with current interim superintendent Barbara Hickman, according to FUSD spokesperson Kim Branges.
The selection comes after narrowing a field of over 30 candidates down to four by Friday afternoon. Those four participated in a question and answer session with the public Monday night at Coconino High School.
Hickman became interim superintendent when Kevin Brown retired from his position in December. She has been with the school district for two and a half years.
