The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, volunteers from the Coconino Search and Rescue team, and members of the Arizona Snowbowl Ski Patrol are searching for an overdue snowboarder.
The missing 19 year-old male was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. on the South side of the Arizona Snowbowl. It is believed that the snowboarder left the confines of the Snowbowl ski area and entered into the back country wilderness area. It is also believed that the missing individual does not have any back country experience.
Searchers are hiking on foot and utilizing a snow cat to search for the missing man.
