FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– Starting Oct. 26, San Francisco Street will be closed to traffic between McCreary Street and Franklin Avenue for about six weeks.
The road closure is necessary to accommodate the construction of the new NAU Health and Learning Center, and to protect drivers, students and workers.
Traffic signs will be placed throughout campus in an effort to assist drivers. All parking restrictions and traffic rules will remain in effect during the temporary traffic changes.
“We are redirecting traffic in an effort to keep drivers safe from the constant move of construction workers and equipment,” said Jane Kuhn, interim chief facilities officer.
The field near the Wall Aquatic Center will also be temporarily disrupted to upgrade utility lines to campus buildings.
