Flagstaff Resident Assaulted in Front of City Hall
FLAGSTAFF – On Friday, September 18th, Flagstaff resident Johnny Wallace was assaulted by two females while standing in front of City Hall.
Denise Redsteer 48, and Laura Chapman 48, both of Flagstaff were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage.
Chapman and Redsteer allegedly approached Johnny Wallace and began yelling profanities and grabbing at a sign he was holding up. One of the suspects kicked the sign and tried to take the sign. While trying to protect his property Wallace reportedly took one of the women to the ground. While he was struggling with one woman, the other woman engaged in the fight and tried taking his sign. Wallace also had to fight her off. Numerous witnesses verified the victim’s account of what happened.
Medics were called to the scene to treat minor injuries. Disorderly conduct and criminal damage are both misdemeanor crimes. The suspects were cited into city court to answer the charges.

This is really a “dog bites man” story. The NAZ Toda Staff have strangely omitted that Wallace, the “victim” is an anti-choice protester who as usual was at City Hall exhibiting photos of fetuses. The “perps” are pro-choice women and there is likely also some prior to the “profanity” conversation about his offensive sign also left out of ths “story”.
Thank you Ladies! I have wanted to deck that guy and his buddies showing those obscene pictures on the street for years.. *T*H*A*N*K *Y*O*U*!!!!!!!!
And this makes it okay to attack him? “Free Speech,” indeed.
So, “prochoice” women are allowed to commit assault and battery, as well as violate constitutional rights, against a man because they don’t like his message? Also, that “obscenity” is what is committed in the name of “choice” every day. What you don’t like is being show reality because it disrupts the fantasy of “mass of tissue” and “non-person” with which you salve your consciences.
I, too, am amazed that someone calling himself/herself “Free Speech” is applauding that a man was assaulted by two women for…exercising his freedom of speech. I still don’t understand what’s so horrible about those pictures. Almost everyone who objects to them support the “right to choose” to do what is represented in those photos, so what’s the problem, gang? I guess it’s okay to punch and kick anyone with an anti-war sign, too, right?

I am far more concerned about what the sign actually said than this so called “pro-life” activist. The sign actually was defending Klan killings, maybe someone should look into that- the actual story. It is vile that this man is being deemed a victim while he was out preaching hate, not defending a political view.
