On September 10, an alert manager of a local pawn shop called police about a suspicious customer giving inconsistent statements about her identification. Detectives contacted Hain at the store after Martinez fled the parking lot. Detectives further questioned Amanda Hain and seized the computer she was trying to sell. Detectives were later able to connect the two cases and contacted the owner of the computer who identified his lap top. Hain and Martinez were arrested by detectives of the Williams Police Department. Both are being held in the Coconino County jail on charges of burglary, trafficking in stolen property, and possession of stolen property.
The Flagstaff Police Department wants to remind citizens of the “Move it or Lose it Program”, learning to be a less likely victim by emptying all of your valuables out of the interior of your vehicle and to always lock the doors to your vehicle and home.
