Green Building Lecture Series kicks off tomorrow night

Coconino County Community College, along with various other sponsors, are offering a green  building lecture series for anyone who wishes to learn more about sustainable living.

A panel of regional speakers will share their real-world experiences with a range of green building methods from straw bale construction to adobe houses.  The focus will be on providing local information and support for northern Arizona businesses and community members as well as nationwide leaders in sustainable living methods.

The series is free and open to the public, and will take place the second Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the commons area of CCC.  Tomorrow night will feature a home-owner who has used straw bale construction for her home.  In lieu of an admission fee, the public is asked to donate one can of perishable food to benefit St. Mary’s food bank.
