The city of Flagstaff proves to be a tough environment for young job seekers. Many young professionals receive their qualifications in Flagstaff then move to Phoenix or Las Vegas in the hunt for full time employment. A new organization, Flagstaff Young Professionals, plans to change this.
The initiative was created by the Chamber of Commerce three years ago in the hope they can provide Flagstaff Young Professionals a reason to stay in northern Arizona. Megan Roach, the Board Chair of Flagstaff Professionals, alongside colleagues Monika Marfechuk and Khara House, explains the competition is high for many young professionals but, that admits adversity, Flagstaff is an excellent place for entrepreneurs. She is sure that the growth of the organization will see that there is an according growth in the number of young professionals that stay in the city.
