Jerrad Bigman was arrested after allegedly being combative and ramming a police car three times during a chase through Flagstaff neighborhoods. Police said Bigman was suspected of being intoxicated and trying to start fights in a strip mall parking lot before the car chase. NAZ Today’s Christian Ayala spoke with Sgt. Charles Hernandez of the Flagstaff police department about the incident.
Hernandez said that this is a separate situation from their traffic campaign but in essence the traffic campaign could work to deter or educate the public related to DUI laws as well as traffic laws that work to prevent crashes. Bigman is currently facing charges of leaving the scene of crashes, driving impaired to the slightest degree as well as aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
