NAU is introducing a a pilot program that will test a new approach to make reading more accessible for college students with disabilities.  This allows students with disabilities to easily access reading materials.  It does this by converting text books electronically and places it online where other schools can access them if needed.  NAU has partnered with the University of Virginia with a grant from the mellon foundation.  The main goal of this program is to make sure that students with disabilities have access to the instructional materials that they need within the same timeframe as their classmates.
