LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Lake Havasu City police shot and killed a man Saturday night after he exited a home armed with an assault rifle.
Police say 46-year-old Peter Franz approached officers and that’s when police opened fire, killing Franz.
Earlier, family members called police to report that Franz was acting delusional and disoriented and that he was armed.
Lake Havasu City authorities said in a news release that Franz died at the scene. No officers were injured during Saturday evening’s incident.
The case is under investigation by Kingman police.
