Cochise College Official Found Dead on Campus

DOUGLAS, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities still are trying to determine the cause of death for a Cochise College official who was found dead in his campus apartment.

Medics with the Douglas Fire Department were dispatched to the scene Tuesday morning and attempted to revive 55-year-old Michel Ouellette before pronouncing him dead.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office says there were no obvious signs of foul play and Ouellette’s body was transferred to the county Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The autopsy results are still pending.

Cochise College officials say Ouellette was its director of Housing and Student Life and had been working at the school since 2005.

He also was an adviser to the Douglas Campus Student Government Association.
