Every month the Museum of Northern Arizona offers kids a hands-on learning experience about wildlife. The latest "STEAM Second Saturday" event was held over the weekend. The Museum provided families with real earthworms, and they learned about the important role worms play in the ecosystem. They also got to see what worms eat.

Melissa Eckstorm from the Willow Bend Nature Center was there to teach the kids about vermicomposing, which is essentially using a worm farm to consume waste. Eckstrom says worms also make good pets.
