Native American Cultural Center Groundbreaking
NAU will soon be breaking ground on a Native American Cultural Center.
The center will house a student lounge and computer center, conference room, outdoor patio and amphitheater,and a 125-person gathering hall.

Coconiono County has a new superintendent for its schools. Former Puente de Hozho teacher Robert Kelty was named the new superintedent of Coocnino County schools. Student Reporter Tori Rutigliano met with Kelty to discuss his plans for the future for Coconino County School district.
Williams Fire Continues
The Hobble Fire, eighteen miles northeast of Williams, continues to burn.
The fire has burned 1140 acres from the Hobble Mountains southwest towards Buck Mountain.The fire, which was caused by lightning at the end of August, is expected to last for several more weeks.

Arizona Man Arraigned in Death of Utah Deputy
FLAGSTAFF (AP) — An Arizona man accused of fatally shooting a Utah sheriff’s deputy has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and other charges.
Scott Curley’s attorney entered the plea on his behalf Monday in Coconino County Superior Court.
