House Fire, Heavy Smoke in Doney Park

DONEY PARK (NAZ Today) – Flames erupted in Doney Park this afternoon when an unoccupied house caught fire around 2:35 p.m.
Summit Fire Department reported to the scene with three fire engines and eventually received additional assistance from the Flagstaff Fire Department with an extra engine and battalion chief.

The remains of Soldier, Police Officer Eric J. Lindstrom arrived at Flagstaff’s Pulliam airport at around 11 a.m. His remains were greeted by hundreds of Flagstaff residents, Military personnel, and Police Officers from around Northern Arizona. Pilot Lands Plane on Phoenix School Playground

PHOENIX (AP) — A small plane has made an emergency landing on a school playground at a west Phoenix elementary school, but no one was hurt.

Two Alarm Fire Behind Wal-Mart, Unknown Cause

A large stack of compacted cardboard boxes behind Wal-Mart caught fire at approximately 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, closing McConnel Dr. between Beulah Blvd. and Woodlands Village Blvd.

Flagstaff Police Force Feather Clean-Up at Downtown Pillow Fight

An independently advertised pillow fight turned protest took place at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. About 40 people participated.
