Flagstaff Festival of Science
The 21st annual Flagstaff Festival of Science kicks off on Friday, September 24th, at NAU’s Ardrey Auditorium with a Keynote speech by Biospherian Jayne Poynter. Poynter, who spent over two years in a three-acre Biosphere managing food supplies, will begin the festival with a lecture or extreme sustainable living.

Small Forest Fire Burning Near Williams
WILLIAMS (NAZ Today)- According to a Kaibab National Forest media release fire crews responded to a new fire on the Williams Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest, Monday August 30th. The lightning-caused Hobble Fire is growing slowly 18 miles northeast of Williams, near the Hobble Mountains. The fire is approximately one acre in size.

Elderly Man Attacked Along I-17
This afternoon, Flagstaff Police responded to the Safeway on Plaza Way to find an intoxicated man who was stating that he needed to find his father. Jonathon Begay told police that he thought his father was in the area of interstate 17 and Kachina Blvd.
