Schultz Fire Flood Relief Plan

From the Coconino National Forest:
Flagstaff, Az. – Engineers and scientists gathered in Flagstaff the week of
September 19-24 to attend the ‘Ridgeline to Rio’ Summit, in an effort to
analyze and discuss the effects of flooding due to the Schultz Fire—aiming
to determine next steps to mitigate the effects and explore drainage
solutions and burned area restoration.

ABOR to Meet on Scholarships, Budgets

The Arizona Board of Regents will hold a sheduled publlic meeting, highlighting a discussion on the Regents High Honors Endorsment Scholarship and the AIMS Scholarship.

Coconiono County has a new superintendent for its schools. Former Puente de Hozho teacher Robert Kelty was named the new superintedent of Coocnino County schools. Student Reporter Tori Rutigliano met with Kelty to discuss his plans for the future for Coconino County School district.

Baby Left in Car Monday Dies in Kingman

KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — A baby girl left alone in a hot vehicle for five hours in Kingman has died.
Kingman police Lt. Rusty Cooper says the temperature inside the vehicle was more than 100 degrees.
Cooper says the 21-year-old father forgot his 2½-month-old daughter was in the vehicle when he arrived home about 10:30 a.m.
