Area Law Enforcement Conducting Aerial Fire Patrols

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities in northern Arizona are on the lookout for anyone who isn’t complying with fire restrictions.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is conducting periodic air patrols over the next two weeks to locate any campfires that are banned under fire restrictions in Flagstaff, Coconino County and on forest land.

Firefighters Extinguish Three Fires on Interstate 40 in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– Officials are breathing a sigh of relief tonight after firefighters managed to quickly put out three small wildfires inside the Flagstaff city limits.
Firefighters responded to multiple calls of fires burning in the median between mile posts 196-197, near where the Rio de Flag crosses under Interstate 40, at around 7:45 p.m.
