PAGE, Ariz. (AP) — Admission into Glen Canyon National Recreational Area will be free of charge on Saturday and Sunday.
Officials say the free admission is intended to get the public to enjoy National Park Service sites.
The waiver applies to only entrance fees and doesn’t apply to fees for camping, boating and river use.

FREDONIA, Ariz. (AP) — Crews have finished replanting about 900 acres in northern Arizona’s Kaibab National Forest that were burned during a 2006 fire.
Forestry officials say the crews finished the work despite heavy snow accumulations and strong spring winds.

PHOENIX (AP) — A Navajo Nation tribal member has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing his estranged wife.
Federal prosecutors say 54-year-old Lee White, of Window Rock, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Dec. 21.

Flagstaff (NAZ Today)- This morning at approximately 9:00 A.M. a car traveling on North Country Club drive veered off the road, crashing through a metal railing and down an embankment. The car came to rest in the front of the Country Club Chiropractic office at 5200 Cortland Blvd. when it struck a concrete pillar.

FLAGSTAFF (NAZ Today)– The final votes have been tallied for the Flagstaff mayoral race, and Sara Presler is the leading vote-getter by 217 votes.
