PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Senate has voted to prohibit covers that obscure license plate numbers, which some drivers use to avoid photo enforcement speeding tickets.
The Senate gave preliminary approval to the measure sponsored by Phoenix Democrat Ken Cheuvront (SHEV-ront) on Thursday.
Cheuvront says the devices should be illegal because they help people break the law.

HOLBROOK (NAZ Today)– APSN reported that a child kidnapped from Doney Park has been recovered near Holbrook. The child was taken away by a non-custodial mother earlier this afternoon. The kidnap suspect is now in police custody. The suspect is listed as 20 year old Sherry Ann Johnson.
