Day 2: Water Wheel Fire Now 10 Percent Contained; Evacuation Continues
PAYSON– Firefighters made progress on the Water Wheel Fire Sunday night after conducting burnout operations and receiving some much-needed help. Tony Sciacca’s Arizona Central West Zone Type-2 Incident Management Team arrived at 10 PM Sunday evening, according to a spokesperson from the Tonto National Forest. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information about missing person William Neill. Neill was believed to be camping in the Flagstaff or Grand Canyon area and making frequent trips to Flagstaff. Neill was last heard from on August 17th, 2009. Family members have become concerned about Neill’s welfare.

Kayenta Health Center Employee Indicted
PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a Kayenta Health Center emergency room employee has been indicted by a federal grand jury for accepting a bribe three months ago.
Prosecutors say 46-year-old Ella Babbitt has been charged with one felony count of receiving a bribe by a public official.

Afghan War Claims Life of Mesa Resident
The Pentagon says 28-year-old Cory Jenkins died Tuesday when the vehicle he and three other soldiers were riding in was hit by an improvised device.
Jenkins was a graduate of Brigham Young University and A.T. Still University’s physicians-assistant program.

NAU Hires Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Northern Arizona University has hired Quintin Grogan as an assistant men’s basketball coach.
The move was announced Thursday by Lumberjacks head coach Mike Adras.
Grogan comes to NAU after serving as an assistant coach at Division II Metropolitan State College of Denver.
